St Patricks Day Parade at Cabo Roig

At the annual Cabo Roig St Patricks Day parade Maria and the Pink Ladies and Panthers were invited to be the nominated charity for this years parade. They took part in the parade as well as collecting money in their buckets, the total would be shared with the parade fund on a 50/50 basis, is was a very hot afternoon and the boys and girls worked extremely hard in the afternoon sun. The Grand Marshall for this years parade was  the famous boxer Joe Egan who was once described by World Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson as “The hardest white man he had ever fought” Joe is pictured below with his collection bucket, an guest Pink Panther for the day. We are hoping to see Joe again in June at the annual Walk for life at Playa Flamenca, Joe said he would officially start the walk for us and even join in, subject to space in his diary.
